ehmegerd good thing you made a whole review of this one bc Im still on chap 19 and Im not sure if this is worth the time. Im already pissed at how Kieran’s mom hates Camellia’s mom and not her fvkng husband who cheated and how Camellia’s mom is literally a homewrecker gosh theyre painting all these women as villains
Prince Ian - the best option ffs. There is no contender at ALL. Why make him too hot and too green flag to just be a second male lead. I wouldve changed my mind if he was plainer or a bit ugly so that its easier to decide by my prince ian showed us what a real man is.
I stayed not for the story but because I marinated it for far too long.
Other points for discussion:
- I'm all about damsel in distress FLs but if your ML and whole ass family is shitty, girl can you let them grovel for 40 chapters!?!?! Camellia, my dear, you are NOT A SAINT, I feel like if you had a guardian angel, she would have slapped you once in a while to grow a backbone. I don't need you to suddenly become a super strong female lead, I just want you to be more realistic. The only redeeming part about you, Camellia, is that you did not forgive your father. (THANK GOD)
- Claude. He's really your textbook yandere with medium spice. Saying sorry is not enough, actions boy, ACTIONS. Out of all the shitty things you do claude, you crossed the line when you stopped camellia from meeting her mom. Oohh the nerves. Also the lack of disrespect to Prince Ian. Boi u a Duke, but he's a fucking prince. Are you insane. Also, he couldve beaten up Keiran a bit more or cut Camellia's father's dick.
- Keiran. YOU ARE NOT EXEMPTED. THE SIN OF OMISSION LAYS HEAVY IN YOUR HANDS. Brother my ass, you are just saving your ass. Yeah you loved Camellia but even at the last moment (... I wanna stand with you as a family) you did that shit to save your ass, no puppy eyes or read between the lines action can save you. It irritates me every panel that Keiran is describing Camellia, he emphasizes (oh she's so forgiving, oh she's always so nice) YOUR FAMILY MADE HER MEEK AS A LAMB TO SURVIVE. i cant icant.. and yiu didn't even do shit as an heir or something.
- other extras and villains deserve death penalty, except for the lovely Laura (Camellia's mom), Pipi, claude's mom, Jessica and Cairan.
Anyways, I won't reread this ever again. My BP is skyrocketing. Season 1 and 2 was great but the following were trash.
