Is the long hair bodyguard him in the future or in the past?

thats’s what im wondering. tho with all the bad omens and foreshadowing this chapter i think its the future

I think in that specific scene when he tells him “I wish I told you that before” or something along those lines was him in the future. They keep referencing the future cuz it seems like something big happens between the main two love interests that might cause them to stop talking to each other but that’s just my opinion.
