I said the next part is kidnapping but I forget that there's another plot before the kidnapping. So, there's several S-rank espers in SK. And one of them is just 1-2 years older than MC, let'scall him CG (Coward Guy). CG has a pretty good reputation in SK and after failing to become ML's exclusive guide, people keep on pairing MC with CG. CG actually likes MC but MC doesn't have feelings for him. It's actually revealed later on that whenever CG tries to confess with MC, ML does something to stop it hahahhaha. So back to our story, CG completed his conquest of Africa's dungeon earlier than in the novel and he came to SK as soon as he heard that MC became ML's exclusive guide. CG tried to warn MC that ML is a bad person, etc. But MC already knows how low ML can get due to the novel so he wasn't that affected. Unfortunately, MC discovers that the letters he sent to CG adn CG's replies were intercepted by ML. At this time, MC still regards CG as his savior from a previous dungeon so it painted ML in a bad light. But ML has a pretty bad reputation already. Also, honestly? I really dislike CG. He has no spine at all. He can't even protect MC. He can't even defend MC from his father. He's like those spineless guys in dramas!

So, let's move on to the "Kidnapping". Well it's not technically kidnapping as MC willingly followed them. So what happened is that EB (Eldest adopted brother who is unawakened but smart) tried to manipulate MC. EB told him that ML has a fiance from another rich family and all that usual Kdrama shit. MC actually knows that EB is untrustworthy but because he keeps on deluding himself about the novel's storyline and that ML doesn't actually sincerely like him, so he decides on accepting EB's offer to transport him to the US. MC regards this as a way of safely escaping ML that's why he accepted it. When MC meets the ML later, he told ML that he wants to go to an amusement park. They enjoyed their time there, it was so cute! MC is scared of heights so they just rode the carousel, etc. The next day is the last day of their exam and vacation will start afterwards. MC has one last exam. MC decides that that is the perfect time to escape. So after receiving his test, he immediately turns it in (it's almost impossible to fail this class). He meets up with EB and EB makes changes to the plans like MC is now going to Texas, and MC knows SB (Second adopted brother who is unawakened but stupid) studies in Texas. He told EB that he doesn't want to meet SB no matter and was reassured that he won't. Then they switched cars. This new car has multiple a-rank espers and the car even has a barrier. Unfortunately, ML finally catches up to them and he was able to get MC. ML asked MC if he was kidnapped, that he was forced to go with them. ML knows that MC willingly went with them but he wants MC to tell him that he didn't and that he was forced to go with and that MC didn't want to leave ML. ML is basically pleading MC to lie to him at this point. But MC just apologizes to ML which broker ML's heart.

Oh, I forgot. The 2 adopted children were his biological cousins. They are the children of ML's Father's dead brother.

ML imprisons MC in his basement. Before Aaron enter the story, there was a few chapter about MC and ML attending an auction. This auction sold handcuffs, whips, etc that was used in the novel with the OG MC (Kim Jun). In this timeline, ML never used those with MC. But after MC tried to escape ML, ML imprisoned MC in his basement naked and chained. The place MC was imprisoned is not barbaric at all and he wasn't treated that badly (by badly I mean he wasn't abused besides being imprisoned and being naked). During his imprisonment, ML never showed himself to MC but provided MC with whatever he needs. After a few days, MC keeps on getting comfortable, albeit a little bored in his room. So he started requesting books etc. And whatever he requested, ML would provide it to him. At this point, MC starts to realize that he misses ML. He keeps on pleading ML to face him but he won't. He also tries to stay awakw at night so he can catch whenever ML tried to deliver his books, etc but he always fells asleep. Then one day, he also requested alcohol that works on awakened people. MC gets drunk and ML comes into the room and MC wakes up and tells ML all his troubles and that he misses him etc. This melts ML's heart and the next day when MC wakes up, he wakes up with ML on his side. <3

Next, ML brings MC to the island he grew up in (the one where he was abused). They stay there as ML still doesn't fully trust MC. And because MC used never flying in an airplane before as one of his reasons for going with EB. While confined in the island, MC discovers ML's tragic past because of the ring given to him by ML. The ring is from the first ever dungeon ML has ever conquered. And that dungeon was opened in that island before.a few things happened, and when MC discovered that ML was abused when he was a child, he swore that he will never leave ML again.

At this point, ML trusts MC again that he will never leave him so they left the island and they went to an Island state reserved for Awakened people as it helds the largets auction of dungeon products.

He just wants to use MC. The highlight of the incoming auction, is a necklace that is believed to increase the matching rates of the user. MC knows that it is a fake and advises ML, and he also told him that he will be framed of the death of another Korean S-rank esper (A) who is supposed to win the necklace. ML believes him and during the auction, ML only competed for the other items. David wins the auction for the necklace not knowing that it was a fake. ML, MC and A ate dinner somewhere after the auction so that even if David dies, they have an alibi. More background on David, he loaned money just to win the necklace as he has an incoming reality TV show. I think ML tipped off David that what he got was a fake so he complained to the auction. David will relevant later.
Moving on, after the auction they got back to Korea to continue their schooling. Remember Coward Guy (CG)? CG and the Gov department in charge of awakened basically schemed to get ML imprisoned. They requested ML, MC, and CG to test out the government treasure that is the most accurate in assessing ranks, and matching rates, etc as supposedly there was a break in and it might have been damaged. MC and CG’s matching rate goes down (still pretty good but it went down compared to their last test results) and the treasure glowed blue(?), and the ML & MC tested their rate and I think it increased a bit (it’s still super high) and the treasure glowed red. This is low-key significant information as it denotes that there’s an imprinting or bonding involved. Remember in my first spoiler, I mentioned that ML has imprinted one-sidedly with MC.
So after testing, MC and CG was alone in a conference room, and CG keeps on warning MC that ML is a bad guy, etc. Then ML gets arrested for the supposed attempted murder of CG. This happened before the end of the previous school semester, CG had been hit by a vehicle and was injured. So, CG teamed up with EB and they framed ML for the attempted murder. So while ML was arrested, MC discovers that his guide friend (GF) since middle school was actually hired by ML to look out for MC. He told MC to follow GF. ML was imprisoned for a few days, and during this time, MC started getting a fever, and during one of their guiding exercises, he was commanded to guide CG, and CG cornered him and tried to change his mind again, but MC’s condition is really bad. So MC decides to go home (ML’s home) and GF goes with him. He tricked GF to find a super specific water bottle in their basement while he goes to the one room he hasn’t entered yet to find for evidence that can prove ML’s innocence. The room, he discovered, is basically his shrine (HAHAHHAA). ML has sketched of him in the walls, and then ML wrote something saying loser is not allowed (as ML once said this to MC during his tsundere era). And then he saw ML’s journal and it is all about MC. How he thought MC is so pretty and how fell in love with MC and during MC’s absence in his life, it was left blank, and how when MC approached him MC got drunk, he was fighting himself not too get too involved with MC as it might dangerous, that sort of thing. So MC basically didn’t get the evidence he want, and then he heard the door open downstairs. He checked who entered their house and he saw EB and SB. He noticed that there’s something wrong with SB. His powers seems to have gotten stronger. MC pretended to accommodate them so he can approach his jacket and press the emergency button but unfortunately he got caught and this basically set off EB and SB. It’s revealed that EB conducted studies about the Flame flower on how it might be able to awaken normal people but what he found is Flame flower can temporarily increase an awakened person’s rank so from rank D, SB became S-rank. But there’s a catch, the power is explosive but it is unstable and only works for a short time, and they basically can’t get guided and guiding medicine don’t work on them. There was a short part where they were gonna hurt MC but fortunately ML arrives on time and defeats EB & SB.
Remember, all this time MC has a fever. So when ML arrives, MC faints. What’s happening is that MC is awakening as an Omega. And if an awakened people awakens as alpha/omega, their power receives a boost. MC is already quite powerful and with his awakening, he was in critical condition as he might not be able to stand the power boost. During his awakening fever, all sorts of people went to the hospital In hopes that they can poach as he is granted to become the first SS-rank guide if he ever wakes up from his coma. him the truth. MC tried to call ML but I think he’s not getting connected. Now,
this is my favorite part as it shows how MC really knows how much ML loves him
and how to manipulate ML. So remember that all sorts of people wants to recruit
him as he is now an SS-rank guide? Well one of the people who sent him a
proposition was David. David sent him a text noting how he really loves MC (what
bullshit right?) and that he is currently in Korean in this Hotel and with Room
#. So MC demands ML’s contact details and whereabouts from GF, and GF wouldn’t
reveal it to him. He told GF that he will go to David’s hotel. MC exits the
hotel and hails a taxi and directs him to go David’s hotel. When MC arrives, ML
stops him (HAHAHAHAHA). And they had a confrontation and reconciles with each
other. Happy Ending with side stories.
