the part in the novel where kwak soohwan goes searching for seok hwa when he recovers from literally dying really gets me… the whole time he was looking for him he made sure to save one bullet in his gun for if he finds out that seok hwa is dead he can kill himself since there is no point in living without him god i love them so bad IT HURTS

theres so much i can say about what happens like stuff went DOWN fr so it really depends on what you wanna hear about but just know that kwak soohwan and seok hwa are obsessed and freaked out for each other LOL honestly i really recommend reading the novel too because theres just some details the manhwa doesn't totally capture. but for that scene in particular that i mentioned...

















a lot of things happened with choi ho-un and because of it, kwak soohwan and seok hwa's lives were in danger. kwak soohwan ends up basically sacrificing himself to protect seok hwa and he technically does die due to extreme blood loss from bullet wounds, but he was able to be resuscitated. although he was left with brain damage and had to relearn everything (major yang had to spoon feed him lol), he recovered very fast tho in just 5 months!! however, when all this went down, kwak soohwan told major yang to take away seok hwa so he can be safe. seok hwa returns to russia (kwak soohwan and seokhwa were there before, u will see that soon in the manhwa when season 4 starts up) by himself. seok hwa only interacted with nearby citizens to trade and provide minimal medical aid for them, but the whole time he did not speak a single word to anyone. seok hwa only forced himself to stay alive for the chance that kwak seok hwa lived </3

after 5 months, as soon as kwak soohwan recovered he left to go find seok hwa based on a piece of paper that seok hwa wrote with his location and was passed onto him. he had brought supplies with him for the trip to russia, and one of them was ofc the part i mentioned earlier about how kwak soohwan made sure to save one bullet in his gun for if he finds out that seok hwa died (besides him fending for himself alone in russia, there was also another reason related to the adam virus that could have caused seok hwa's death, hence soohwan's concern). when they reunited, kwak soohwan even cried they both did (although seok hwa a little later since he was in such shock from seeing kwak soohwan again). funny story but eventually when they do the boombayah again after reuniting, seok hwa tells kwak soohwan that he could not bring himself to even masturbate the whole time he was apart from soohwan because he would cry every single time HAHAHA
