I think they're just 3D models. There are a lot of background details and 3D modeling speed up the drawing process. It downgrades the art a little bit but it is what it is.
I concur it's just 3D assets not AI (artist usually find them on websites like SketchUp and use it as the setting). It was the same with Killing Stalking
Anyone else noticed that a lot of the background scenes/assets look AI generated? I hope it's purely by mistake and not intentional from Koogi, but it's undeniable that AI has been used at some point to generate/enhance things like the buildings, detail, assets etc. Disappointing :((
