Theory time!!!! I think the Bul Myeol killed Ian's first husband to be with her. I think the director really is the Younger brother of the first husband and he's trying to get revenge on the both of them because he probably thinks they were cheating and both planned the murder. This would explain why he is so set on making her a cheater, it's not only to destroy her but also to confirm her moral character
