Goldfish actually do have good memories. For some reason people have thought that they lose their memories frequently and that's where the "you have the memory of a goldfish" insult came from. But that's honestly a myth. If anything it shouldn't be an insult but a compliment.
Search it up and do your research if you'd like. But many types of goldfish do have great memories and can remember things up to weeks, and possibly up to months and years if left in good and proper environment where they have room to explore and have proper stimulation!
But I suppose there might possibly be a reason why the ukes memory is bad. Just look at the toxic environment he works in with all these horrible beast men
