I mean, it all boils down to personal preferences. Just because you personally dislike the story doesn't mean it's bad, and vice versa, if you like a story it doesn't automatically make it a good work. I do think some people overhype certain stories, for example SVSSS, I have somewhat similar thoughts about that one like you do about MDZS, or fucking Solo Leveling lol.

You might like mdzs or svss better. Faster developments and better plot imo

What the fuck do you mean by "trying to sound intellectual by liking this"?? Both are stories with complex plots and well-written characters. They are packed with many different tropes, character dynamics, plot twists, etc. Neither of them is bland. You can js say that these stories weren't ur thing and move on, absolutely no reason to shit on it, or on its enjoyers.
