I think you’re reading it wrong I mean no disrespect but put yourself in his shoes if I was treated by the Kingdom system where it undermined me, did not care about me, forgotten and abandoned me wouldn’t you want to destroy it and cause as much damage the exact same system it did upon myself? (personally THATS the way I’m reading into it) because he didn’t grow up like the other princes into politics knowing the kingdoms in and out and he most definitely didn’t care for the people because he wasn’t seen as even a potential heir to the throne, so why should he care overall? It makes the most sense for him to destroy and watch it burn to the grown, that same system in which his brother and father adored
Yeah I see your point. Im more saying because of the innocent civilians and stuff. But yeah I totally get why he is the way he is. I dont hate him either. (Irl I totally would lol but in a fictional sense I dont)
But! He still starved people to the point of famine. Even though he himself was starved as a child. The least he could've done as emperor was make sure the people were fed like damn
