I highly doubt he would allow her so much authority and it’s not as simple as “this is the new law. Follow it!”. It has to go to parliament and then the nobles will make their decision and then the royals can decide yay or nay and can veto really stupid decisions but if you arbitrarily decide then you’re a tyrant and someone WILL try to usurp your throne. He’s a very very intelligent king and emperor and wouldn’t allow anything to get in the way of his reign especially not a woman. He views her as a toy and a pawn. She’s better off staying the dowager duchess and amassing allies and power and then taking it to parliament herself. She’d have a far better chance of changing the laws in that manner. My source is I live in the uk and we still have a royal family and nobles (technically) and we learn about them and parliament as part of our curriculum and I have a special interest in how laws work.
I will be honest. It is probably the first webtoon that I find Ml significantly uglier than other guys . And it is not a plot device either. I think author genuinely thought he would ve cool in black hair and red eyes (which is a classic and i am not complaining) but the drawing style of him is significantly worse than the emporer, son-in-law and knight. It even hurts my eyes in this beautiful art
