If I remeber correctly from what I've reas in the novel, yes, essentially Cheongryeo can go back in time by unaliving himself but does not have the system to help him.

Actually, he died more than a hundred times either from unknowingly failing missions, from enemies, or because he made a mistake since he's a perfectionist. I think by this point he is mentally hundreds of years old. However, once he passed the year of his death in his first life, the system moved onto Moondae, and I guess Cheongryeo sensed that loss due to his sharp senses.
