This is Aeroc's redemption arc, which is why he vividly remembers what happened previously. This Kloff is new and has some flashbacks, but he doesn't know what they mean or what is happening. He's essentially Kloff 2.0 He's fighting for Aeroc by increasing his status in order to marry him properly.
