I agree. What victor wants in ownership not love. He wants them to just bow to his whim without asking anything of him because that would fulfill his obsession. He says that Henry would always go after what he wanted then once he received it he’d get bored but the truth is, I think Henry was just looking for people who actually understood him. I’m sure he and victor could have had a world wind romance if victor didn’t only love PARTS of him. He knew better that’s why head only toys with him. He’s mean to him but just gives him what he wants as like proof that victor is a shallow man then ignores him after that. Dick is just unrestricted lust. I think he actually wants victor to give him boundaries and be territorial with him. Heart just is who Henry really is like you said. Henry was never his fave or his penis.

So like… maybe I’m forcing things lol, but maybeee the way Victor acts with head, dick, and heart is kinda the same way he acted around the real Henry. Maybe Henry felt Victor only cared about his looks, his cold vibe, and the physical side, but never really saw him for who he was. That’s probably why Victor keeps pushing “heart” away, because he never fully loved Henry as a whole, which also means he didn’t know Henry as well as he thought he did. And that totally clashes with his obsession, cuz how can you be so consumed by someone and still not really know them?
In fact, in chapter 16 Victor literally admits he doesn’t know how to feel loved, and that’s why he pushes heart away (Henry’s real feelings.) Then head says Victor will look for heart in all the wrong places, and that’s exactly what happens: Victor goes searching for what he *thinks* is love in Henry’s looks or lust, in this idolized version of him, instead of in Henry’s actual love. What he really wants is to be noticed by that fantasy, not the real person. And Henry knows it I think he isn’t pretending to be some bad boy either, he just turns off his heart, because every time he shows love, it’s taken as pushy or overwhelming.
Even that freaking love potion goes against what “heart” shows us, because honestly, he doesn’t need it. He’s already completely in love with Victor, but Victor doesn’t see it, or maybe chooses not to. From the very beginning, he’s out searching for Henry’s other parts when heart is right there, he’s the only one who stays, the only one willing to sacrifice himself for Victor. And still, Victor almost always calls him a monster (yeah, he’s patched up but still he’s wife material). The saddest part is that in heart’s imagination, Victor finally accepts him, finally calls him perfect… but it’s only in his imagination.
