It probably makes more sense if you read this again (after Josh defended Chase from the coyotes), from the moment Chase is contious again till they get picked up. It's Chase's pov. Then you have Chase who wants to see Josh when he is back and Josh meeting him on the beach.
And Josh had the hots for Chase from the start, Chase's face, that he wanted to kiss him etc. When Chase had that nighmare after coming back form that pheromone party, he would have slept with Chase if Chase didn't pass out.
Novel readers, tell me that Chase doesn't buy it cause he's not that dumb, right ... ? x)
Also, i suppose it's lost in translation and adaptation of the novel, but i didn't really felt them sliding towards that "chummy era". :/ It's like now it's all normal that Chase is sweet towards him suddendly, and that it's obvious they're gonna have sex. (Not that i'm commplaining of course)
Did i miss something while reading it ? Okey they got a "moment", but i guess i would have loved one conversation like "now i want you", or the classic "you're weird/different.you draw me in" or even "why not"? I don't now anymore. XD
