As mentioned by previous comments, MC realised that he started becoming as unlucky as Soobin (his actual luck) yet has no idea since his parents used him as a tool to get rich in return for all the money. That's why he was spoilt to the point of being able to do anything. Soobin, by killing the MC with HIS OWN HANDS, has intertwined with his fate. Also why the lucky ring disappeared and whatever wounds or bad luck Soobin faced would also transfer to him. If only MC could ASK the FrekkinG Reason to his mom WhY, he would have known.
Also, MC is really, like really slow to understand that his Grandma had foretold him of a shorter lifespan when he was young, that he wouldn't live past his 7th Birthday of Feb 29 or whatever number (possibly could Die even before that) Probably thought it was nothing and dismissed it, but EVEN Now, he doesn't know he truth.
Definitely a boy born with a crow's mouth. Of course, it was the very same mouth which saved his life at times, but he honestly REEKS of Ignorance. Also, the reason why he doesn't care anymore is Only because HIS Life is in danger, some comments did mention an extreme case of ADHD, still doesn't give someone a reason to hurt others verbally. He isn't completely apathetic, just wasn't taught properly to mind himself. A shame, he has to pay now for something He Believes He didn't do, imagine the time when Woori comes to know about it somehow through a chat.... waiting for his expressions to crack. Sure, he has changed, quite a lot, yet a long way to go. Will he Blame his parents or himself for being mean?
What would Soobin's sister think IF she ever knew Her "Prince Charming" was the one to take everything Away from her and family Even though he didn't mean it?? Would she try killing him or do something worse than Soobin? Seeing as she can steal due to peer pressure, it can go even higher. Children of that age Need parents, proper ones who actually know to give that space and not just neglect (Woori's case) or abandon (Soobin & sister's case)
Sadly this is also an example of what happens when miscommunication occurs between people. I'm also guessing that MC's mom won't apologise and there could be even more distance between them. MC could finally learn exactly what hard work is and not just show pity out of nowhere.
