Agreed, whisper in one ear that he loves her! See all the signs? And the second it comes out he doesn't, they'll say, how could you not notice? He was clearly being polite, why are you so delusional?
It's so embarrassing that those delulu girls are acting like Miss Lance is practically engaged to Mr Dalton. He's literally just been the tiniest bit civil to her. Like barely the polite behaviour expected by society and they're like he's obviously in love! What? They need an older chaperone to check them (insert facepalm here)
