I really don’t like how biased the MC is being, it feels like he only cares about the external stuff, like what he can physically see: their faces or their their bodies. I get that part of it is because Heart doesn’t resemble Henry at all, but just because someone doesn’t look like a person you loved doesn’t mean they’re not still a part of them. If you really love someone, would it be possible to only love certain parts of them especially to the point of resurrecting them from the dead? That doesn’t feel like real love to me. But hey, that’s just my take, others might see it differently....( ̄∇ ̄")

The way I see it MC keeps Henry's heart at arm's length because he never truly connected with Henry’s emotional or inner self when he was still alive. He was attached to Henry’s presence and physical closeness, but not his inner self. Now that Heart embodies the part of Henry he never tried to reach, the MC distances himself, either out of guilt, discomfort, or because deep down, he never loved that part to begin with. And continued to only love certain parts of him if that can even be called love...

Let's argue that maybe the MC did love certain parts of Henry. His presence, his body, and the comfort he provided but definitely not Henry as a whole person. He didn’t love him for who he truly was, just for the pieces that fit into the MC’s own emotional needs. So now, when faced with Heart which is arguably the most genuine, emotional part of Henry the MC avoids it ┗( T﹏T )┛

Lowkey I think that’s going to be involved in his character development IF HE EVEN HAS ONE
