Like, she can't choose the ex fiancee coz he was Shin Sera's and can't choose the blonde coz he's been through a lot of relationship harassment and might not want to be in a relationship yet that his feelings for Sera were ignited coz of admiration not romantic feelings... That's why they or author chose the safest option, him...
