i’m so confused about the takeo hate? it’s obvious that he has a low emotional threshold and has a hard time understanding emotions, but his intentions are always good and he never means harm. what’s wrong with wanting to try out a relationship to see if you have feelings? and isn’t it obvious that he’s in love? he’s said it so many times and it’s clear that he has a deep affection for wako that’s more than just a ‘crush’ feeling, he genuinely cares about every part of wako deeply. and isn’t it valid of him to be hurt that wako kept on denying his feelings?

I understand what you mean, i think, although maybe in wrong, that i can explain why i think people are annoyed with takeo-- I don't think its takeo or his character or even any of his actions, i think its the authors framing. We know takeo cares deeply for the uke- actually its never a question of their deep emotional connection and i think that he is considerate of the uke. But he never breaks out into passion, i think if he clearly became more sexually interested (he was but we as the reader don't see it, he can get hard but we don't see him really become hot and bothered ). I think if the author had made the sex scene longer and more passionate, especially on takeos side, if he was clearly flushed or if he didn't stop to say somethin emotional at the end-- again this just feels like reassurance because he doesn't have the sexual interest to back it up, it feels more like consideration when theyre in the middle of an act of desire. Or if we as the audiences saw takeo become aroused while jerking off wako and even see him or imply that he took care of it himself. That would indicate that he really is interested in wako but as readers we don't get that so it feels like the desire really is mostly on wakos part.
