I think both are under a spell (spell put on both on them by koros brother) that made thm forgot about each other. The baby is taken care of the other villagers. Since both are under a spell, and ml is starting to remmber mc, i think this is a way for them to remmeber each other. Tho ml can’t go back to human form, but i think this is also a way that’s why ml is kinda melting if yk what i meant. So yuussss
