Exactly, I wasn't that pissed off by his crash out because the author really knew how to showcase that his crash out came from somewhere deep inside instead of just a shallow hatred. But yes it is still wrong fot him to lash out like that especially to friends.
If I have a friend who was a vet, what I would do is ask them like why is the vet prices are expensive and all that like I would ask details so I know more and are able to understand the cause of these prices. Instead of just lashing out at them during a reunion
But I guess from here, Im guessing something will happened to the silver haired guy's dog and the mc will be the person to help him and happy ending yada yada yada.
But Im still looking forward to it
honestly, his crash out is totally valid. but the majority of the vets don’t do it for money, it’s just the tests DO cost that much.
growing up, my dog had a lot of health issues over the span of her life and she probably racked up at least 15k+ in vet bills in the 12 years of her life. i am very lucky my family is in a financially stable enough position to be able to take care of her. even now, this past few months my sisters cat has been having skin issues and that’s cost around 2k between tests and medicine and appointments (we’ve probably been to the vet 2-3x a month since june…).
animals are NOT cheap. and not all animals qualify for insurance. but i know for a fact each and every time i went they tried their best. they tried to accommodate as much as they can.
my dog hated being picked up (she literally would go limp the moment they tried to) so they would do exams on the floor, even while she was laying down. when i found out my dogs kidneys were in rapid failure, the vet sat and cried with me. when it was possible that my sisters cat had cancer due to her skin issues, the vet poured over books and research to find if it could be anything else. she literally brought the books to the next appointment to talk to us about.
i have friends in vetmed. i know how much they love animals and how exhausting and emotionally draining the job is. how gross it gets and how sad it gets.
there are vets who are bad. there are vets who are greedy. there are vets who simply don’t care. but compared to the amount that ARE good, ARE selfless, who DO care… you cannot say the minority are the majority just because of bad experiences.
