Close the the tab and whatever app you're using (if possible). And reopen the site

At the very top header/ menu bar should something like „new version“ or so. Click on that

I was just on desktop version accidentally yesterday. If you are in a chapter of a story, at the very top left side there should be a button that says "new version". If you click that, that'll bring you back to the mobile version

If you are on the website homepage, like these comments here, if you scroll all the way to the very bottom of the page, you will see the tiny words "mobile version" at the very bottom, kind of on the right side. Hope this helps!!

If you are in the main menu (here), if you click your profile picture when in desktop version, you will be able to see the mobile version option. If you are reading a story, you'll have to find the button new version

Had only added this on the off chance Kifi's suggestion didn't work. I haven't tried what they've done as I've found the "mobile ver" button on the website and just clicked it lol

Might be a browser problem then - there are also settings in the browser itself. I can switch to desktop and mobile version in the safari setting which is unrelated to the settings on the website but has the same results.
