I did not finish the novel. I stop reading it after Vincent and Paula shared a night. So what happened is, there's a chapter where smth scary happened to the kid, then Paula basically calmed down the kid or talks to the kid, and then she said a line that she also said to Vincent when he's still blind. Vincent heard her without Paula knowing. He knew then that she's Paula, his maid before. But Paula wants to escape from there together with her sister. She tells her sister that they'll escape the night, but the sister wants to stay, so Paula was left alone near the escape area. But before she could escape, Vincent shows up and confronts her that he knew she's the one he's looking for. They talked it out then spends the night together. That's where I stopped reading lol. Hope this helps!
are you telling me he has a wife and a child and still decides to get down with paula? that's a valid reason to drop a story i would've done the same tbh and now I'm contemplating dropping this too. i get that this story is very psychological but damn.
