The power dynamic is horrid. I don’t like how Nain is like this because of course he is fearful but also loves Amon, but it’s not enough for me personally.
Best ending would’ve been if he went off with Gwen, and Amon finding a different mate but I guess because they’re one together, it’s not possible.

No at one point Nain did consent to their relationship but the rituals crtl+alt+delete fragments of Nains memories. Its highly suggested that nain and Amon have been together for like 500 years or at least have known eachother for that long considering Amon wanted him to play a piece from 500 years ago to "see if he remembered" the only thing Nain doesnt consent to is watching people die all the time

Yeah basically, nain uses Gwen as an emotional support because being woth amon mentally drains him bc he cant get it thru his head that Amon doesnt care abt anyone but him but its not like Amon isnt willing to stop doing things Nain doesnt like, he just hasnt really asked cause he's afriad Amon will kill him (which he wont cause Amon would die soon after, they're like swans) basically Nain threatened to krill himself if Amon went n killed Gwen. Cause amon hates gwen for stealing his E-Kitten

I’m just gonna believe that Amon let Nain go with Gwen, and he finds himself another powerful priest type shit or someone in a power position like him. So the dynamic isn’t unequal and they both shit on each other but also love each other. My fav dynamics.
Everyone’s complaint here is valid. I personally find all characters annoying, especially Nain.

I can endure a throuple ending here though, I just hate how it started and putting Amon in a cuck chair, shit putting anyone in a cuck chair is just plain nasty. But I do get the circumstances.
I might read the novel while waiting for new releases here. Not even gonna lie, so fed up with how it’s ending that I’m going to write a short fan fic on AO3 where Amon dies and becomes human because Nain somehow dies. Nain will still live, after reincarnation and Gwen will be his next life’s partner and for many lives to come.
Amon will finally experience being a human, only having fragments of his god past, he will meet someone, a man of church (I’m just kidding), that will show him what being given loyalty back feels like. Reciprocation, right timed love, no eggshells.
and also, based on the comments spoilers, Amon does love Na-in but because he can't understand how humans react to things he deemed pleasing but disgusting, he appears to be just neglecting Na-in's feelings... but I get the feeling that if Na-in says just a bit one thing of being uncomfortable about it, he'd definitely stop it.
idk. I just want to read it all until the end.
