it's crazy to me that people would blame Nain, he's so obviously deeply unhappy. what he and Amon have isn't a relationship, it's a one-sided obsession where there is a very clear power hierarchy and he's forced to watch and do things that go against the very core of his being. it's gross and I feel bad for Nain, he's had to go through so much so far :(
I don’t even view it as cheating because I found out they were never in an established relationship, I don’t see a forced situation-ship as a relationship. However, I still feel icky because I’m projecting from my own experience, I absolutely detest any form of going behind one’s back but that doesn’t mean I’m right. It’s just how I FEEL.
I feel with how Amon can be, I didn’t expect Nain to go behind back and do that because he is scared of Amon. But I think being tired of things that scare you can happen, Nain definitely just wanted a different kind of love. Gwen is literally human and closest thing to peace he will ever have, they can relate whereas Nain and Amon can never relate.
I don’t believe Amon can ever learn. Amon was lenient and let it be for the sake of Nain’s health and love for Gwen, not because he truly cared of what Nain wanted deep down. Honestly I don’t apply human morals to a literal god, I really ever doubt Amon will ever know what it’s like to treat someone good.
This is why I’ve been saying the best ending is for Gwen and Nain go GR together because Amon will clearly never be like a human. If any side stories with different ending, Amon should die once Nain eventually succumbs since they’re basically one, and Amon becomes human in next life so he can experience what humanity is.
Gwen and Nain would be the true endgame, together for next lifetime and more to come. Amon with someone on equal footing and power dynamic.

Nain is terrified of amon?? and yeah we understand that amon would probably change his ways if nain asked but he can't know that??? amon has never said anything to instill any level of confidence in him. Even when he says he would bloody every stone for him he basically said he's just do it until he got bored of him. Any love nain feels for amon now is born of stockholm syndrome from what i can tell. They basically said Amon raised him, so what, he grew up with this role, watches people get murdered on the daily, is never really told he is loved, is told hes useful until he's not, and there's an entire harem ready with people to replace him? WHO THE FUCK WOULDN'T CHEAT??? LET'S BE REAL YOU LYING MOTHA'FUCKAS?? GWEN IS THE ONLY NORMAL GUY AROUND, THAT ALSO TREATS HIM NORMALLY. do i think he should cheat? not really? i think he should just leave, but that never really was an option, right? after all, the only reason we're presented with that he hasnt LITERALLY KILLED HIMSELF, is that others lives are at stake.
from Nains perspective, his life is basically hopeless. Gwen is the only bright thing around from his view. Even if this sucks for Amon, it's basically his fault to begin with.

Any opportunity he's been presented to adhere to Nains wishes, at every turn, has been ignored WHAT REASON DOES HE HAVE TO BELIEVE HE WOULD EVER LISTEN!
