
this 100%!! money isn’t “just money” it holds sentimental value too. that money was a reminder that enid was loved and cared for by his parents. they left that money behind for him to make sure that he wouldn’t suffer… but the sad thing is he did. he suffered a lot growing up and now all that money is probably gone. before my grandma passed she left me her gold jewellery and i would never think of even selling/pawning it off because they’re the only pieces i have left of her. it’s devastating that he has absolutely nothing left of his parents… it’s even more heartbreaking now that the only parental figure (probably) in his life was the one to take that all away from him.
Its not just about the money. Its so much more than that. He grew up not knowing anything about his parents. Never having any sort of material to remember them by. Nothing that could maybe make him feel like they loved him.
And this scene is just so sad cause clearly ennid had a somewhat decent opinion of the director before but even thats gone now ┗( T﹏T )┛
