The author is adding context and giving us their backstory not justifying him. Theres no justification for what he did. But id rather have a fully fleshed out evil guy with flaws rather than a toxic just because ml whose behavior is overlooked

Chapter 8 there's a flashback of him visiting MC's family and stabbing his father with a sword then exiling the rest of his family and telling the guards to cover up the murder so Mc doesn't find out

Nahhhhhhhhhh I can feel bad for him for his child self ,but his adult self killed Sam myeongs family and raped him and humiliated him and also killed that one guard and now the author wants to justify his behaviour as usual with a sad backstory, it's boring actually
His child self and adult self are too far apart he can't be redeemed anymore
