I’ve been struggling with the novel because I’m more used to recognizing characters by their faces, and I keep forgetting their names. In this recent chapter, it feels like they condensed two or three chapters into one. Leo got injured here because he hadn't fully mastered the human version of breathing, he was still relying on the beast breathing he was used to. As a result, he wasn’t performing well, unlike in previous classes where he always finished first. They performed 3 activities here and i dont even remember an ice wall there

In the end, though, he managed to create his own unique breathing technique by combining the original beast breathing with the human modifications his professor had taught. It turned out to be so powerful that his body wasn’t prepared for it, and he ended up injured—burned by the intensity of the technique.
