It sounds like a mixture. It's either pure guessing or mixing the plot of two stories, I don't know. Because two things won't happen like things.

just finished reading the novel and can confirm that there's no running away or chasing arc haha

He kinds of will, when the contract ends, he’s not running away per say but he doesn’t want chase to find out about the kid so he went back home

He only ran away when he got pregnant with Pete. That was years ago.
In the story he is Chase's bodyguard till the end of the novel and some time beyond, and he tells him the truth about Pete.

It’s been a while I admit but I do remember that the mc stopped working because their contract ended and he was trying to avoid chase so he went back home, and chaze went to his house to make him come back.. or am I remembering this wrong??

As I said, Josh still works as his bodyguard after the main story.
He tells him the truth at the end of the main story.

In the epilogue Josh works somewhere else, and comes home to his family -Chase and the kids.
In the side stories that continue the plot of the main story you see Josh two times at home. One time when he wants to introduce Chase to his mother and sister. And another time when Chase stops using his meds, and the doctor thinks it's better to separate for some time, because of his omega pheromones. But Grayson get's him, when Chase goes into rut.

I’m not talking about the end I know they end up together and chaze learns about the omega thing after he’s being kidnapped. They stay body guards that I know because of the side stories. But normally in the main story if I remember right Josh stops working for a while and comes back after chase goes to his house to take him back as his bodyguards and that’s when he discovers Peter and gets the idea Josh has a wife he’s cheating on with him

He finds out about Pete when he overhears Josh and Isaac talk irrc.
Josh sometimes goes to his mom's home to check on Pete, takes a few hours - a day off. He also meets Dane one time and another time runs into Yeonwoo. He never stopped working and he never ran away during the story.
Chase never went to Josh's house in the main story. He only went there in the side stories, when Josh wanted to introduce him as his partner.
