From what I know once parents divorce on Korea, the child tends to stay with the father by law... Maybe that's one of the reasons? But again, the remarriage thing is really recurrent in manhwas and enrages me everytime (╬￣皿￣)
Are mother even like that? stuff like that always happens in mangas and novels and i know mother's can abandone their children but idk maybe it's the dialogue that just feels soooo forced
