I'm not sure if they mean the novel, since I didn't read neither(barely started WMMAP) but I did read both manhwa at one point... And to be honest I don't see it. Like yeah, maybe at the time they were similar because of the reincarnation and father daughter relationship. But aren't the story in a completely different setting? I will say that I haven't read "Daughter of the emperor" in a while because I got bored, but I simply don't see it.

J read both and barely saw any similarities tho I ended up dropping dote (not for any reason it was just long). Stop with cancel culture please wmmap was my first manhwa
Yup, I was like "let's read it to make the comparison" and Iw as hit with 200+ chapters. And to be pair from the beginning the story is already a different setting. WWMAP start with the MC being an abandoned princess that doesn't meet her father until she's like 5. DOTP starts with the dude apparently keeping the princess close and that's just the first chapter. Comprate to other manhwa that are being released right now(like the villainess trope or those more generic) I think the two stories already go into different directions from the start.
Okay I read daughter of the emperor first before I discovered wmmap and I dropped it because it lowkey sucked im ngl. And also i don’t think wmmap copied it because they are entirely different but also what does it even matter if wmmap did take inspiration from it in the first place like thats not a crime
sue me but I feel like wmmap is enough as its own manhwa. like yes the similarities are there but look at the genre; every manhwa has the same moments and situations. daughter of the emperor was actually my first ever manhwa read, like genuinely when i was 12, i still like wmmap better in all aspects of plot and characters
I started dote like 4 years ago I dropped it cause the plot got dragged out and repetitive and I wasn't into the art. But genuinely the similarities don't even matter like tht. Saying "don't support the author " over something like this is stupid omfg

Oh, please don't tell me it's the same case like for "Lady Baby". It started fine but then the story got dragged and there were sudden modern world concept introduced that I couldn't keep reading it
I visited the manhwa just to see the response about this manhwa. Suprised people still like it despite the author's messed up scandal. I'm glad that y'all read it in illegal website like mangago. But as the anime is out, I hope no one watch that or even hyped it. Give justice to other author who's work was plagiarized by this manhwa.
