Yeah the reason WHY WOULD HE DO IT He did cared about her but it ended up turning into an obsession and abuse
Cesare has been abused by his father (who his father claim as him showing love). Even though he knows it's wrong, he does the same to Ruby claiming it as such. That's the only way he knows how to express love, and it's probably some deep rooted jealousy that Ruby could never be truly his.
He’s still an asshole but seeing his POV, it makes sense why he ended up the way he did. He did everything for Ruby, yeah. BUT WHAT WAS THE REASON TO ABUSE HER? Their father wasn’t watching or ordering Caesar to do allat. If he hadn’t done that to Ruby they could’ve had a happy ending.
