i honestly feel like it stems from the fact that seme wasn’t treated well when he was a kid, and now he has a hard time accepting any little good thing or action because he feel like he needs to give back something in return. plus, they started out when he was waaayy younger and he always saw uke with many partners and his partnerships with them weren’t long, so he might be afraid too because what if they’ll end the exact same way. personally, i understand why the seme feels that way. Uke always said he’s doing all of this because of seme, but sometimes you don’t have to vocally say that you’re doing all of it because of him… idk if it makes sense but sometimes just doing it without having to say that you’re doing it for them is better… cuz if seme thinks uke is just doing this for him and not because he wants to, then i guess he would feel more burdened and think that he’s only doing this because seme wants him to.

but they’re both so complex… the seme obviously has some issues, but the uke isn’t all that different either.
