In season 2 finale brett stayed rational and not understanding his emotions but in season 3 he is jealous which he never was when scott was into Hayden or any other jealousy is first step that put him on this relationship getting back together, he gave Hayden his key to private house is new step he took he is finally letting Hayden into his life even in private he probably not keeping Hayden in dark this time he wants to keep Hayden beside him and learn to love.
But what triggered the change? Why now? Why this way?

Honestly, i also dont understand new chapters entirely, cuz ur saying they didnt meet for 2 whole years, and then brett decides that he is ready to be in relationship with hayden, cause some omega liked him?? It's so out of character for him tbh. Either he was reflecting real hard on their relationship and something happened during timeskip, for him to change his mind, or author just didn't want to keep them separated and work on bretts personality, which would be really sad, i like this manhwa a whole lot Just hope, that we will get a satisfying explanation soon.

Yes exactly, as if author tried to skip bretts character ark, and just throw him into relationship out of nowhere. I'm really anxious about upcoming chapters, and not in a good way...
The Author is going to explain probably what happened, but if u look at the chapter where Brett meets the director at the ball/charity event idk what that was, she mentions Hayden and this is when Brett reacts. He then stands by himself at the window thinking back on the date they had and his face shows frustration plus some confusion. Then soon after he visits Hayden at the filming location.
The look of frustration and confusion gives a very strong indicator that it wasn't the first time Brett was reminded of Hayden and that remembering him evoked all kinds of emotions that he isn't able to control. Which means it wasn't out of nowhere, it just means that Brett tried to stay away for 2 whole years and fight himself and his "feelings" and in the end he folded. The author is amazing so just have some faith and let the author cook.
I don’t think it’s that out of character for Brett be acting this way.
He’s always been rational to a fault, but he’s also alswsys been manipulative and the type that gets what he wants,
He’s always wanted Hayden, he just didn’t want the baggage, thus he did what was rational and cut Hayden off and as long as they didn’t meet, he could keep his rationality.
Now that he saw him again, and noticed an omega circling, his rationale waned. He may claim to not understand love, but he understood Hayden’s romanticism enough that seeing some other person circling him caused him jealousy. Maybe if a Hayden was as rational as Brett, Brett wouldn’t have felt threatened by this omega, but Hayden is not that calculated. He may be able to fall in love with someone else.
I think Brett recognized this unconsciously.

There's really more to it than meets the eye, and trust as much as it's complicated it really somewhat simplifies at some point(at least, IT can happen and dynamic too has something to do with it) like, when you're pressured to tie a knot but overtime it loosens and suddenly you see it in a new perspective with less tension as before..to hell as it is confusing but as someone who finds themselves resonating with how the story goes..Very similar circumstance
