Still, this story deserves an old way of plotting: she runs away to another country and never come back again. Finds a job and a nice person to spend her life with, has grandkids and live happily ever after.
Because we haven't seen him, honestly UI thought he would become obsessive like hi sister but not hater only because she is a commoner. It is ridiculous, wasn't he attracted to her? What did it change? That is why Esdra sounds like a good guy, even in the previous chapter he tried to deny the fact that she might have been disguised as a man. now that I think might be because he was in denial, but if you do not have the context looks like a guy who tries to help her
i haven’t read the novel myself yet, but i remember seeing a spoiler that this esdra guy is such a hypocrite. when adele was revealed to be a commoner, he distanced himself from her and judged her harshly, like calling her a fraud or a social climber or something like that (i might be wrong tho, i don’t really remember the details)
i mean, the signs were already there. in the early chapters, when he first met adele and didn’t know her status yet, he was already pretty harsh toward her ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
