Dude I’m not gonna drop cause wanna see where it goes but it would have been a wonderful love story with Berne caring for each other and their lost loves learning to love themselves and each other but it’s showing that this is about hopeless romantics being successfully strung along like I know it’s fiction but it’s literally a story of a guy not having access to a girl he thought he’d always have and basically manipulates her love to stay with him it’s pissing me off a bit. No spoilers I’m just assuming that’s where it’s going but he fr doesn’t deserve her in my opinion

Are you seriously telling me you never imagined Arista kissing another man? What kind of confidence do you have to think she’d only ever kiss you, mf? If the girl I had a crush on was as pretty and cool as Arista, I’d be overthinking every damn second.
I can’t believe the author’s best attempt to make the ML seem good is by turning him into a complete wuss and nerfing the green-haired guy with such a lame motivation. It honestly reminds me of The Abandoned Empress, where the author made the green-haired guy go yandere and turned Carsein into a character who just got emotional toward Aristia because he lost his eyesight (which, to be fair, was a valid reaction).
Berne was actually pretty solid, even with that weak motivation. This could’ve been a perfect “you can find love somewhere else” kind of story if they had just talked and found solace in each other. Love stories don’t always need to be intense or life-changing, sometimes they can be as calm as a river in summer, flowing quietly without making a fuss.
But I guess I wished for too much… especially when the title literally says 101st Confession. ( ̄へ ̄)
