I really like the story but the timeline jump really confused me at first. In the beginning I was like wdym "her children has children"? It would have less confusing if they added like a "20 years later" thing. I don't remember seeing one in the manga, but maybe the author didn't add one as some type of metaphorical symbolism of living eternally because Adain was confused like the rest of us. (It's probs a reach but it could have not been added on purpose.)
yeah thats probably what the author was trying to do; making the narrative seem as if it was yesterday to signify the character's perception of time, toying with the idea of an unreliable narrator/pov
