I personally like when they go on side-quests, it makes it more realistic and gives a "we're a team" kind of feeling that I believe is very homely but not portrayed often enough, specially in long lasting relationships
Honestly i am more interested with Kaburagi playing around and Onoe finding out than thissssssd
