I had exactly the same feeling while reading the chapter but honestly I'd rather have them go through the storm together then see her go back to somebody who ghosted her and disappeared for 10 years.
Dohwa also stopped talking to her for 10 years.. And would’ve stayed that way if she didn’t reach out due to work. They were friends, idk how y’all justify it just because he got rejected.

You so right actually, but I don't think we'll get to see Su-ae grow up and become a single independent woman (supposedly she already is, but nothing about that was shown to us, it feels like she exists only because the male characters "happen" to her - which is truly annoying). Therefore, if I have to choose, I'd rather go for the guy who got his heart broken because of her, instead that for the one who actually broke her heart. Does it make any sense?
I can see this following "true beauty" storyline...
