I know what you mean. It happens when you've read / watched too many stories, because the thing is that no matter what, stories always tend to have a certain pattern to be enjoyable, because they need to maintain a certain pace to keep the person's interest. They can't be too random, too slow nor too rushed.That's why it's so difficult to come up with new interesting stories. I'm actually really good at predicting what's going to happen in movies, tv shows, books, anime, manga, anything with a story really because I've seen / watch so many, but I'm still able to enjoy them somehow. Something you can do is also maybe to change the genres for a while
