Dude omg i totally agree. But also as much as your point is the logical path, i feel like the author is setting him up to be a clever scheming character, most definitely going after Rosa since the tattoo and the past and all. Whether he is out for love or something else is unclear tho-
this kind of plot would still be nice, i just hope it's 100% intentional for him and not some coincidence plot, if he is such a mastermind to go after the mother to get to rosa i can take it, but still i think he should tone down with the gardener (unless he also has a reason to pull her into this scheme which would be even better)

I don’t think he was flirting with the gardener. He was being nice. Even the gardener herself said he takes care of me so well and is so nice I want to misinterpret it. His looks play a big role on how the women in this manhwa treat him. I wouldn’t really blame him besides we don’t even know much about him other then the fact that he worked at that club. Also the summery in this website for this manhwa is wrong. Nowhere did the creator of the manhwa ever mention them seeing each other in an orphanage actually in the original website that this manhwa was posted there is 0 mention of Adoption/ Orphanage/ Adoption Centre. Nothing of that sort. Also the SML is mad suspicious think of it like this. He called Rosa told her something interesting was going on in Korea knowing fully well she would take a month or 2 to come back to Korea to fully enjoy her vacation. When she comes back to know what was interesting thing happened and why he called her to come back to Korea. He simply says „just because“. Saying he was flirting with the Gardener or anything that moves is just victim blaming considering he was sexually harassed in his sleep also we don’t even see Jim’s flirt with anyone other than FL‘s mom who is his girlfriend/lover/who knows what their relationship is. Now if he was awake we don’t really know but for sure it’ll show next chapter.
i think we give him a little too little credit, it looks very intentional on his part, he knows his stuff and uses it well. i think we should generally stop believing that he is in any way innocent at all. like I don't see a world when you get something shoved into your mouth while sleeping and you keep on sleeping

and tbh i just want him to have any major goal here, instead of it being a boring dark romance with mother all for nothing. also i think the second ml part is probably some omission, it doesn't seem like he knows anything so maybe it's simply just true that he called her for shits and giggles and it just happened so that something really happened. maybe this story has a lot of plotholes simply

Actually I think he is ANYTHING but dumb...Dude is just layered...And it's obvious that the current face we or the mother see is only what he wants to show! His real persona so far has only peaked out once or twice when interacting with Rosa!! Plus he used to be a call boy at a host club he knows how to use his charms to his advantage and even in this last chapter he is the innocent party since he was "asleep" hense it's the gardener that will take the fall...He knows how to allure the women to get what he needs but also when to stop to protect himself from any trouble imo. And I am pretty sure the mother is pretty layered too...A business woman of her caliber marrying a man off the streets just for his pretty face is stupidly bold...Like there is nothing in for her...Paying his debts and taking him as her boy toy sure believable...BUT making her her legal husband?? That's insane...So I think thre is more to the mother's planning too...Like do you remember the mall scene with her asking her own daughter to dress him up since they have similar tastes anyway?? That was so weird of her to do...Our poor Rosa is in for a wild ride...
i see criticism of those who do not like the main dude, and as i can sometimes see it valid i don't like him for other reasons that "oh he a gold digger" nah, that's actually a cool plot but him FLIRTING WITH EVERYTHING THAT HAS LEGS!!! like dude is so stupid for that, the mother doesn't look like she likes him as anything more than a plaything and he already feels so cocky to flirt with the gardener- like is he DUMB? ok first time it happens probably the gardener will get fired but if it just goes on and keeps on happening the mother will simply grow bored with this constant behavior. like her whole thing is being dominant and basically OWNING yeonu(if i remember his name right). Dude should be on his tippy toes if he doesn't want to get the money flow to stop. so yeah I don't like how irrational he is, like yeah he is cunning on one hand securing himself such a catch but on the other acts like he will always be this- and he is in no position to believe so, so i just hope there's something more to it, be it even cliche and make him have some kind of revenge against the mother or sth plz
