a lot of things babe esp since it seems his problem is primarily with the brain. could also be a case of hyeonji herself cutting contact, could be they DID stay in contact but something happened and they stopped, heck it could even be something stupid like grandpapi feeling ashamed and not having the balls to contact hyeonji. ik this is fictional but it’s def realistic because people are complex as all hell.

true, it might seem a little cliche too. personally i kinda understand, ironically bc i’ve never had (and hopefully never get) an illness that was as severe as grandpapi’s so my view on it is i’ll never really understand the thought process and stuff
