Mc is not dumb, he's just desperate for his brother's love like old times so he does a lot of things that will make himself look bad, so that his brother will think he's not competing.
No Yigon, the MC is smart and a cinamon roll but the problem is his fear and love for his evil, garbage, mad brother, and the ML who is the embodiment of prejudice and pride

Accept what his brother did, I guess yeah. Mc just did what he think is the best from his extreme perspective to protect himself from his brother. Later on when Mc and Ml actually get separated , Mc literally got into an accident and almost dead. So what Mc did to clung on ml like his lifeline wasn't wrong even though it left bad taste since ml is a shitass at first
Mc accepts being constantly stepped on and humiliated.
He's humiliated by his top and crawls around constantly, as if that weren't enough, he's constantly humiliated and threatened by his brother.
He doesn't even do anything to try to get out of this situation, doesn't try to gather evidence, doesn't try to use a cell phone recorder to record the threats against his brother.
And I won't even mention the top who treats him like trash, and Mc still follows him around.

We didn't lie. We said he was smart and a swetgeart, but that he clung to his love for his brother. We forgot to clarify that he has a high IQ but low EQ and self-esteem.
Everything Yigon does makes sense to us. His parents hate him, his brother has manipulated him since birth, he doesn't have any money of his own; everything belongs to his grandfather, his grandfather always puts him at risk without supporting him, his secretary is keeping an eye on him, his brother intercepts his calls and messages and monitors him with cameras and microphones, and thst bi**have like one million of contacts and bussiness. Also Yigon dropped out of college and associated with drug addicts, so he has no good reputation or connections. Give him some credit for still be alive and sane.
I also hate that Taekang took advantage of him with the contract, but even so, from his perspective, Yigon is a drug addict without foundation, and from Yigon's perspective, Taekang was helping him "for free" because he doesn't know what's behind the contract. In the current arc, Yigon already knows what the contract entails and horrible the Ml was with him, and Taekang is beginning to understand how deranged and Machiavellian the b** brother is.
Took advantage of him is to put it lightly, the contract stipulated Yigon had to obey him. Tae-kang literally treated him like a whore at his disposal with no right to refuse him.
Yeah, That is why Taekang is one of the most hated ML in my list. Spirit in Jinx is more human
