dont read the comments before reading this, please form your own opinion. does this have some issues? yes. is the pacing weird? yes. does the art style change? yes. HOWEVER, its still such a good story and I truly truly enjoyed reading it (even tho its not actually over yet) the relationships between the family is just so pure and wholesome and lovely to read about. I truly truly truly hope that everyone who reads this enjoys this as much as i have! (also like,, if you dont like it stfu)

This is one of my favs. U get used to the art style changing after a while. I love the family dynamics, especially when all the misunderstandings are solved. Not to mention the story actually gives a proper reason for the family to hate the fl in beginning. And it’s not the bs reasons such as fl being the reason her mother died or her being an illegitimate child (none these scenarios happened for once). Like I don’t hate them for neglecting and ignoring her in the beginning, they had valid reasons.

yes exactly! i really like how the family dynamics were handled here! i actually just started another manhwa last night and the main character is hated by her family bc the mother died in child birth. that has to be the fucking sTUPIDEST reason i have ever heard for hating a child!

It’s such a common trope. Like that’s the only reason authors use for the family to neglect the fl, just so she either wins them over or makes them regret it by finding her own found family.

Wait, I haven't read this webtoon for a while. What was the validity of neglecting and hating a child?

this webtoon doesnt have that trope, another one i started reading does! but its also a really common trope in this genre! the reason this family hates the FL in the beginning is like major major spoilers so i wont tell you but it has nothing to do with mothers lol.

Basically the fl soul was swapped with a girl that was raised by the servants in her paternal family. The girl felt entitled and thinks of herself as the young lady of the duchy and felt that the fl (who was the real young lady btw) stole her place. She went along with the plan by the main villains to have taken on the body of the young lady. She was the reason the mother of the fl was killed (the fl and her two older brothers have different mothers, with her mother being their dad’s third wife and the love of his life, the other two wives were political marriages). At that point u could argue that she was young and was manipulated, but she was still a bitch. Everything she did afterwards was her own decisions.

The fl soul was sent to modern Korea and took over the body of a young girl who died after being left in the snow. The fl forget her original life and took on the memories of the little girl. Her mother’s soul found her way to Korea with memories intact. She didn’t say anything to fl cause she had no memories and just raised her until her death. Fl would later find out her beloved teacher was actually her biological mother.

The father instantly knew that soul inside his daughter’s body was not his daughter but an imposter. He rejected her immediately. The grandfather also knew but was in denial. He took custody of his granddaughter, blaming the father for losing her. The imposter was rude and entitled the whole time. She threw a teacup at Gwaine, the second brother, and insulted him by saying his mother never loved him that was why she abandoned him awhile her mother (fl mother) actually loved her. It was never revealed what she did to the Lancelot, the eldest brother. She leaked information to the enemy which caused the death of many of the grandfather’s old friend and had the guts to say that grandfather wouldn’t blame her since she’s his beloved and only granddaughter. After that incident everyone basically ignored her and sent her to the annex.

After returning to her actual body she had the galls to act like she was the real Senianna. But everyone knew she was the fake and hated her for making Senianna being away from her loving family and having to suffer for years. She claimed all she wanted was a loving family and that she was lonely, but Senianna shut her up by saying that if that was actually true then she wouldn’t have done all those misdeeds that lead to the whole family despising her in the beginning. She loved the power that came with being granddaughter of the powerful Duke family.

Whoa, that's trippy. You're right, this is a nice change of pace since they all knew she wasn't the real FL. So them ignoring her is now understandable.
