My question is why are you guys even arguing over whether ppl have sympathy or like the kid/monster? I haven’t seen anyone go on a rant about how the monster is good or that the monster should win. I saw two ppl at most feeling bad. Having sympathy is fine at most. No one is mixing reality with fiction. They’re just feeling for a fictional character as a third party viewer and being open to thinking outside the box as to why the monster is like this. Anyone who has sympathy for the monster likely used their brain and realized the monster did what they thought the dying kiddos wanted, which was to live and not be hurt. It’s true they’re suffering but if you think of it another way, that girl also got a chance to meet new friends from it and spend more time with her family- than her just dying in that accident, the end.
If you want to put logic into it, technically the monster did kill them but recreated them into an undying being. They’re not gone forever, that’s literally the opposite of what they’re being made into lol.

I don't know how I feel about the baby monster but as of right now I'm comparing him to "hikaru" from tshd just because of what I'm seeing right now. So there is some sort of I feel bad for it but at the same time he needs to go. I honestly hope that's what the mangaka from tshd does with "hikaru"
