ML is actually worse than his father, who yes is creep obsessed with his ex fiancee but he atleast confronts his wife more when is abusing FL than the ML did who sanctions the abuse.
yes, and the pregnancy arc saved their relationship to start over despite ML being trashy like he knew that at first her circumstances but he let everything happen that turn out.

It wont for long because the FL will have a miscarriage and lose the baby. The ML's mother seems to be beind and gloats about it. And point the FL finally stands up for herself and calls it quits. She blames the ML for enabling and even encouraging his mother's
Something else also happens where I think the FL's paternity to someone well off is revealed which means she doesnt have to depend on the ML anymore and endure abuse to
She leaves him and the house.
He breaks down emotionally in pursuit of trying to find her and has a car accident.
They begin mending their relationship (im not sure if they are still married) slowly but the scars are still there. The ML's mother gets sent to mental asylum and treated for her severe mental illness.
The ML's seems to accept responsibility for his part in causing the ML's mother to turn out the way she did and is now her "carer" , the ML's mother although wheelchair bound seems to have improved and when the ML and FL go to visit her, she breaks down and realises the wrong she did and apologises to the FL , begging forgiveness.
Which does conclude the ML was worse than his mother because the mother was literally sick when she had those episodes and tortured the FL(with encouragement and approval of the ML) , the ML wasnt.
They kinda do get back together but its not a "happy ending" , its open ended. As if to imply the FL has left a door open for him but they arent completely there yet.
