Authors try not to ruin your story with rape challenge go! (Impossible difficulty)

Ya that part sucks. But also why always the amnesia plot?!? I've seen it work maybe 3 times. More often than not, it just ruins books T.T
And it just angers me more because this book has a very solid reason for MC to run away without the memory loss! >:(
Author had something great and then confidently went and ruined it with the rape and amnesia
