Its not really surprising with how heteronormative most bl dynamics are and how the fabase almost always drools over the tops and feminises the bottoms (even if they arent feminine in the least). As a queer person i feel that area needs severe improvement but once again bl isnt made for lgbtq+ people in the first place
In a way ik some authors projects the hardships of being a women to our society with the bl stories that they do and I'm fine with that too but at the same time I also want to see actual queer experiences in bls yk. I actually know a few comics/manga/manhwa that actually talks about actual queer experiences and romances (and is authored by a queer person!) but most of the time it's not that popular because the art style is very different from a marketable bl drawing style if ykwim

Haha yeaa i understand the frustration i enjoy the different artstyles too honestly so even if they arent mainstream people should give actual queer stories more recognition and honestly i feel more het stories should have the hardships women face and a more realistic approach instead of translating it into a mlm dynamic which honesgly has a high chance of not working out
