Chapter 29: personal predictions about chap. 30

My original post before I read chapter 30 + Post chapter 30's updated edit

BEGIN OF ORIGINAL POST (before chap. 30)

I don't even need to look for any spoilers to know what we will see on the next chapter (which will be chapter 30) based on the glimpses to their past that we've had so far: I can bet right here and now that what we'll get in the next chapter is the truth behind that glimpse of a flashback, the full scenario of that glimpse we've already seen, of an unspecified incident in their past, when there were servants seen going out of the house, in order to go look for her, while she was seen out in the rain, and then his dog had come at her, making her panic (reviving the trauma of her mother's death) and all her husband had said was, "well done," to the DOG... (not even noticing how she was absolutely terrified... did he ever even bother to find out the reason for her fear of animals coming at her? How it had to do with the trauma from when one of such animals had come at her and her mother, and accidentally *killed* her mother, right in front of her, back in her childhood?? Moreover: did he ever have any clue she had a deep-rooted fearful trauma about being approached by animals, if they did it all of a sudden?)

So yep, I can already predict it... I can bet that's what we'll see in the next chapter, with the rest of this flashback: how she ended up getting lost while on her way back to the house (after that walk along the path at the back of their estate) that day, and how the servants and he himself had ended up going out after her, too, later on, in order to go in search for her, and how this dude finally sent his dog after her trail, in order to find her, how it started to rain, and how when they followed the dog and finally found her, the dog came right at her, causing her to go into panic mode, but this azzwipe only thought she was overreacting, and he congratulated the dog for "doing a good job" in finding her... never realizing that the darn animal he kept beside him at all friggin times was the VERY reason she couldn't stop trembling whenever she saw him (since he was never separate from the darn creature, as if he couldn't take a single step WITHOUT taking the darn pet along, with him... How come you never noticed, azzwipe, how it was obviously the dog that she feared and disliked so much, and not necesarily YOU, you azz hole... how come in seven friggin years you never noticed that?? Or never realized the reason for your wife's trauma, or even a single darn thing about any of that?? Are you really THAT stupid???)

END OF ORIGINAL POST (before chap. 30)

EDIT: Now that chapter 30 is out, even if I was kinda right in my prediction, I can say I am a wee bit less mad now that I know he had a good excuse to send the dog after her (there were hunters in the area, so yeah "woman lost in the woods + hunters = an accident waiting to happen"), but still, that doesn't excuse killing her father, bro... even if they always ended up misunderstanding each other because neither of the two ever explained crap properly to each other... that only makes it WORSE how, instead of trying to talk any of it out with her properly, he went and got "revenge" at her by killing her father like he did... so no, this still doesn't excuse a darn thing...

Nope, him killing her father was an indirect consequence of this, yeah, but it didn't happen immediately: it happened six years laet, after the same cycle of misunderstanding and resentment (that began that day) had repeated itself between them over and over and over, ad nauseam. What I meant was that neither the fact that he had been misunderstood by her on that one first occasion (when he had sent his dog after her for a "GOOD" reason), nor the fact that he continued to be "misunderstood" by her again and again later (if we're generous in believing him), can ever excuse or justify how years later he killed her father in revenge for all this (even if we're generous), because being misunderstood doesn't justify killing, let alone the fact that her father was an innocent party in all this, and someone who had no guilt nor blame in the misery that these two had due to that constant repetition of misunderstandings and resentments between each other.
