Just cuz one situation is "worse" than another, doesn't mitigate red flags from being red flags. But also I haven't gotten that far in the story, you're just the second person I've seen today that tried to make the argument "it's not that bad, look at all the other worst situations". And that logic is flawed. Whether this situation is a red flag can be debated, but trying to say it's not creepy behavior only because other books show "more toxic" stuff.... Doesn't make sense. I don't like this argument because people try to use it in real life when they're in bad situation. On, he yells and berates me constantly, but at least he doesn't hit me, so it's not that bad. Oh, he hits me but at least he doesn't sexually abuse me, so it's not that bad. Oh he sexually abused me, but at least he lets me outside and keep some type of freedom, so it's not as bad as those who are locked up and assaulted.
Sorry many have used this logic on someone else I care about who was hurt, trying to say they weren't because "there's worse situations". And that is a mental mindfrick to experience, doubting the things you've gone through because strangers and family dismiss the behavior as "look at other situations, yours isn't that bad"

I don't know why but after the ml moved into her house, I've started to dislike him. I also kinda find their relationship annoying. I DON'T KNOW WHYYY
